The full moon is said to be the most auspicious time for heightened awareness in meditation. The moon's gravity draws prana upwards into the crown charka, helping us to feel more alert and awake. According to great teachers, understanding and integrating the reflective powers of the moon in our meditation brings about heightened awareness of our internal landscape, and of the organization of the entire cosmos. It has been demonstrated that if we meditate regularly over time, we will enjoy improved mental and physical health, and suffer less from anxiety disorders and neuroses.

Join us for a full moon meditation program on June 26th at 7:00 - 8:00pm at Prema Yoga, hosted by Sarah Willis, as we sit with the full moon and learn a specific technique, called anapana to focus the mind. Anapana meditation is taught as a part of the vipassana tradition, which Sarah has been practicing since 1999.

Monthly Hanuman Chalisa
Everyone is welcome to join in on this evening at Prema Yoga Center. Several people will lead the group as we sing the Hanuman Chalisa—40 verses praising Sri Hanuman—together eleven times! If you wish to, please do bring along no-egg vegetarian prasad to share or flowers for the puja. Chanting will be led by Nina, Ambika and Shyama. By donation.
